Voicu & Asociații was honored to support the General Association of Engineers in Romania during an exceptional cultural and artistic event held at the Romanian Athenaeum on November 23, 2025.
Under the baton of conductor Andrei Iliescu, the “Petru Ghenghea” Engineers’ Orchestra delivered an outstanding musical program in an exclusive setting dedicated to invited guests. The concert featured works by Edvard Grieg, including selections from the Peer Gynt suites (op. 23, op. 46, and op. 55), with soprano Cristina Vasilache, as well as the Piano Concerto in A minor, op. 16, performed by pianist Daniel Dumitrașcu.
The “Petru Ghenghea” Engineers’ Orchestra was founded in 1956 by Professor Petru Ghenghea, then an assistant at the Thermotechnics Department of the Institute of Railway Engineering in Bucharest. Initially formed as a chamber orchestra, it brought together engineers, academics, and students passionate about classical music—many of them former members of the CFR Symphony Orchestra from the interwar period. Over the decades, the orchestra grew into a respected cultural ensemble, performing on prestigious stages in Romania and abroad. Today, it continues its mission under the aegis of the General Association of Engineers in Romania (AGIR), uniting professionals from various fields who share a deep love for music and artistic excellence.
Our sponsorship reflects Voicu & Asociații’s genuine commitment to supporting initiatives that celebrate art, culture, and the values that bring people together. We are truly pleased to have played a part in an event that shines a light on cultural heritage and artistic excellence.
Congratulations to the artists and the organizers for this unforgettable event!
