Assisted the leading manufacturer of wood-based panel and associated products, with operations in Europe, Asia and the USA in a competition related litigation for the annulment of the fine imposed by the Competition Council to the client for alleged abuse of a dominant position; at the moment of its being imposed this sanction was publicly estimated as the largest fine ever applied by the competition regulator to a single business entity; project value: approximately EUR 1 million

Assisted the largest pharmacy chain in Romania and part of the largest pharmaceuticals group active on the Romanian market in the acquisition of 33 pharmacies, including advice during the due diligence investigation, negotiation of the transaction documents, closing and post-closing matters, as well as clearance with the Competition Council

Assisted a telecom company in relation to attempted joint-venture with another telecom operator in view of developing the metropolitan optical fiber infrastructure within the tubing of a project; rendered services included assessment of concession agreement relating to the project and lease agreement concluded with telecom operator(s), as well as determining regulatory and competition implications and setting the contractual framework for the attempted project

Assisted a key player active in the telecom industry in relation to attempted acquisition of a main competitor on several market segments; rendered services included assessment and determination of regulatory and merger control implications, structuring of the transaction by various market segments based on potential merger control implications, preparing draft network sharing agreement and content broadcasting and license agreement, as part of the transaction documents

Assisted the Romanian subsidiary of a Japan automotive company on localizing the distribution contracts with the local dealers of vehicles; rendered services involved harmonizing the requirements of the Romanian competition legislation in regard of vertical agreements in the vehicle sector with the legal requirements at the European Union level
