Assisted the central institution of an Austrian banking group and one of the top-players in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe in the acquisition of a majority stake in a Romanian state-owned bank, and with respect to a large range of transaction post-completion legal matters, including assisted in front of the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the banking market

Assisted a specialist bank for the public sector in Central and Eastern Europe in the purchase in the secondary market of Promissory Notes issued by a central public authority involved in public works; project value: EUR 10 million

Advised a Romanian Heat and Power Association acting as the representative of 20 thermal power plants in connection with a foreign syndicated loan; the loan was backed by state guarantees and was destined to supply the 20 thermal plants with the fuel necessary for winter heating production; the firm’s assignments included drafting and reviewing the whole lending documentation, assisting the client throughout the negotiation process, drafting the documentation required for the notification with the Competition Council, as well as drafting

Assisted the leading financial services organization in Cyprus and two of its top managers in the most relevant litigation case concerning matters of market manipulation and insider dealing ruled on the merits in a Romanian court and obtaining the irrevocable acquittal of the clients; this is one of the largest capital market litigation cases at the European level considering the value of the transactions involved
