Assisted a German-based global diversified retail and wholesale/cash and carry group, the fourth-largest retailer in the world measured by revenues and one of its retail networks in connection with a variety of matters under Romanian competition law

Assisted the third largest brewery in Romania in front of the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the beer market, pursuant to the sale of Romanian companies to an Austrian company (quoted as the largest transaction of year 2000, amounting to EUR 164 million, the involved parties holding a cumulated market share of 36%), including investigation proceedings before the Competition Council and legal support in courts

Acted as monitoring agent appointed by the Romanian Competition Council of the implementation of commitments undertaken by a major telecommunications company and its distributors for the purpose of finalizing an investigation conducted by Romanian Competition Council; while finalizing investigations by commitments undertaking is yet a novelty on the Romanian market, this project was an important cornerstone in developing this market practice

Assisted the administrator of a Pillar II private pension fund in all stages of the extensive investigation conducted by the Competition Council against the client for alleged price fixing and customer allocation practices; the firm has managed to limit the sanction applied following such investigation to one of the smallest fines ever imposed by the competition regulato

Assisted a Romanian company, active on the decorative paints and coatings market in an investigation regarding the potential breach of the national and EU competition legislation; preparing defenses to the statement of objections put forward by the Romanian Competition Council and successfully representing the client in the hearings before the board of the Romanian Competition Council
