As part of the legal debate programme organised by Voicu & Asociatii, a new session in the “VA Excellence Through Continuous Professional Development Series” was recently dedicated to “Third-Party Claim (Chemarea în garanție) – Theoretical and Practical Aspects.”
The session was delivered by Victor Bogdan-Cochirleanu, Managing Associate, and Razvan Sirbu, Associate, who explored one of the key procedural mechanisms of Romanian civil litigation, highlighting its role in protecting parties’ rights and ensuring the efficient resolution of complex legal relationships.
The presentation examined both the theoretical foundations of third-party claims and the practical issues that frequently arise in litigation. Particular attention was paid to the admissibility requirements of such claims, their procedural effects, and the strategic considerations that may influence the conduct and outcome of a dispute.
The speakers also discussed relevant case law examples and practical challenges encountered in handling third-party claims, underlining the importance of carefully assessing the factual and legal circumstances of each case. The session further addressed best practices and key considerations aimed at avoiding procedural pitfalls and ensuring the effective use of this procedural mechanism.
By combining legal theory with practical insights, the discussion provided participants with the opportunity to analyse the topic from multiple perspectives and exchange views grounded in litigation practice, contributing to the continuous development of professional expertise.
At Voicu & Asociatii, we believe that continuous professional development and the constant exchange of knowledge are essential to maintaining high professional standards and delivering legal services tailored to the evolving needs of the business environment.
